Plans
Interaction between mentor and client
The interaction between mentor and client is a close one and is designed to produce bespoke plans for cross-cultural issue management, like in cases of career change, advancement, starting one's own business, and even when one is nearing retirement. In many cases, we have seen clients applying what they have learnt into mentoring others on selected areas. And for many, mentoring in general, and career mentoring in particular, have become new opportunities to earn a better living, especially in some novel cultural environments and locations.
Attending a number of properly spaced out mentoring sessions will deliver a good number of diverse advantages that can be put into action readily.
Plan-your-career.com doesn't stop at equipping clients to walk away with some plan or, in the least, with some idea of it. We could do that in the end but it's much more important to share the foundations of knowledge and of good practice with our clients and the writing of a good plan would then follow naturally with or without our involvement. We do not just guide clients in the right direction, we train them to look for the signs of cultural traps or in how to avoid outright opportunity loss
Plan-your-career.com does not operate like or replace a school. We can only empower our clients to learn to act independently while we keep an eye on their progress in the short term. As such, we focus on encouraging trial considerations and self-determination framed in a number of take-away knowledge and tools such as:
Measuring the impact of paternal say and support on planning a career roadmap
The identification of key and emerging stakeholders in global situations
Enriching professional vocabulary and terminology
Spotting new windows of opportunity in global environments
Detecting areas of risk and working on avoidance strategies
Researching emerging economies and professions
Estimating the impending threat of AI on specialist professional roles
Coping with shifting demographics
Securing a decent Work-Life Balance
Seeking the opportunity to work for yourself
